Gardeners at Large 

 

Membership in Gardeners at Large is open to everyone who enjoys gardening, horticulture, volunteering and attending fun and informative programs. 

Membership in San Antonio Garden Center Gardener at Large includes:

  • Monthly programs on gardening, horticulture, home, culinary and cultural arts

  • Bi-annual newsletter and regular Emails so that you can stay connected 

  • Participation in Garden Center special events including

    • Plant sales and monthly plant exchange

    • Floral design classes and flower shows

    • Operation Christmas Cheer charitable project

  • Annual yearbook

  • Volunteer opportunities

  • Membership in Texas Garden Clubs and National Garden Clubs Inc.

Meetings are held at 9:30 a.m. on the first Wednesday of each month, September through May.

San Antonio Garden Center’s council of clubs fall into two different categories. These are in addition to our own group, Gardeners at Large:

 

  • Federated Garden Clubs that also belong to National Garden Clubs, Inc.

  • Friends & Societies – Non-profit horticulture, plant cultural arts and civic organizations

 

Federated Garden Clubs in the greater San Antonio area are invited to join as a member club and enjoy the benefits of Garden Center.
